Heather Osarczuk
Competition Co-Director, Jazz, Acrobatics, Ballet, Technical Development, Company Choreographer, Preparatory Classes
Heather's goal for her students is to find their motivation through their strengths and finding inspiration from their challenges. Regardless of the student's career path, dance will always be a benefit.
Heather’s love of dance began at the age of three in Pittsburgh, PA where she studied all styles. When she was very young she began traveling the country attending master classes, conventions, intensives, and competitions as well as assisting teachers for Dance Masters of America and Dance Educators of America. She was teaching her own class by the time she was a teenager. She spent many years in New York studying under numerous teachers from both Broadway Dance Center and Steps. Her professional credits include a national tour of "The Will Rogers Follies"; "West Side Story" at the La Scala Opera House in Milan, Italy; "Beauty and the Beast" at Walt Disney World; the Diamond Horseshoe Revue and "Hoop Dee Doo" in Tokyo Disneyland; the Radio City Carnivale Spectacular; and eight years as a Radio City Rockette.
Heather has been teaching in the Tampa Bay Area since 2001. Her choreography has earned numerous awards and overall high scores. Her students can be seen at Disney World, Universal Studios, Busch Gardens, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Norwegian Cruise Line, collegiate dance teams, The Rockette Intensive, and the Orlando Ballet. She loves sharing her passion for dance and inspiring young dancers to find their inner strength. Ms Heather also just completed her Module 1 Acrobatic Arts Certification guaranteeing to reinforce her instruction in safe and progressive acrobatic dance.
Favorite Inspiration: Helping students find their inner strength and artistry just as all of her former teachers, choreographers, and directors did for her.
Favorite Way to Learn: Watching live performances. Also, taking class from and researching choreographers and teachers in the industry.
Favorite Style of Dance: Lyrical and Contemporary
Favorite Music: All styles!
GOALS: To teach my students with the understanding that they are individuals with different strengths and goals. I want to inspire dancers to learn as many aspects of dance as possible in order to prepare for their future. Every careers path can benefit from the lessons taught in dance class!
